about me

i live on the upper west side of manhattan, or perhaps it's morningside heights, i don't know. i can easily get the M104, M4, M5, M7 and M11 buses, and they're the streams that feed me into the larger river of new york life.  at one point a few years back i found myself spending too much time alone, so i chose to ride the buses, from one end of mahnattan to the other, styrofoam cup and ballpoint pen in hand.

 

i also do my work at home and out 'in the hills,' whether california, rome or upstate new york. i have visions of vast pelagic vistas spanning the aegean, but make do closer to home.
